Welcome to [info]truefobinglove. Thank you for checking out the site.

Who are we? - we think this is irrelevant, ultimately. We are a small collective of Fall Out Boy fans who wanted to see a newsfeed journal focused on the band as a whole and without bias. We intend to remain anonymous.

Why does TFL exist? - primarily, to fill a gap in the fandom. While other communities and journals do exist they no longer seem to offer the comprehensive, music-orientated and universal coverage they once did. TFL staff will do our best to collect all relevant information on the band themselves, without including hundreds of eBay posts or paparazzi shots. We promise to do our best by all the band members - and if you can help us with that, submissions can be made to truefobinglove@gmail.com. We are just starting out, here, and have included posts from 1 March, 2008 onward. Please bear with us while we find our feet.

If you own an archive of any kind, and would like to affiliate with us, to help provide the back-story on past media coverage, please let us know. We are not here in competition with anyone else, we just want to fill the niche and give all the boys the attention they deserve.

Why no anon commenting? - elsewhere, we have seen how anon commenting allows people to harrass and torment other fans without repercussion, meaning that some fans have become afraid to comment or speak up at all. We just don't think that is fair. On TFL we welcome discussion, but we ask that people respect each other. It has been said that Fall Out Boy is a gang. We're all on the same side, so let's watch each other's backs instead of clawing each other's eyes out. Cyberbullying will not be tolerated here.

Why '[info]truefobinglove'? - why not? 'Truefuckinglove' is a familiar and popular phrase within the fandom, so we chose that and altered it slightly to reflect our subject matter. We love the band and we love the boys in it. It was kind of a no-brainer, really.

Actually, as it happens we do need some help with that at the moment. We're still sorting out long-term hosting for media (give us a couple of weeks... [read: payday]) but when we have it, we could really use the help. Thanks for the offer.

To say 'better' would be kind of cocky of us, but yes - the aim is to focus on the band and their actual music and side-projects, rather than paparazzi and girlfriends. And to make sure that nothing and no one is intentionally neglected.

If you need any video ripping from youtube/google or video to mp3/wmv/mp4 conversions doing I can totally help. Oh and I make fairly okay graphics too if you need anything :)
