There are several things that are awesome about Cobra Starship’s new “Guilty Pleasure” video (above), and Patrick Stump’s cameo is most of them. Don’t get us wrong, we’re suckers for Rollerblades, Zubaz, and DeLoreans, but it’s P’s turn as Cobra’s manager — “Rob McFlynn” — which steals the show (and not just because he appears sans hat, for probably the first time ever).

No, we love it because he’s doing a dead-on impression of Fall Out Boy (and Cobra Starship’s) real-life manager, the burly and barrel-chested Bob McLynn. Stump’s no stranger to acting (earlier this year he logged a “Law & Order” cameo), but his McLynn impression is so great — check the bellowing baritone and the wild gesturing — that we have a newfound respect for the frontman. He’s like our very own Rich Little or something.

Anyway, we’re also fired up about the impression because back in March, when we were down in Chile with Fall Out Boy on the whole Antarctica debacle, we witnessed Stump working on his McLynn impression first hand. And we’ve got the video to prove it.

Ne-Yo spills more details on Patrick Stump

Two weeks ago, Hollywood Insider revealed that R&B crooner Ne-Yo and Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump had recorded a duet called “Finish Your Food" — which Stump said had "one of the craziest concepts for a song I've ever heard." Well, we definitely wanted to hear more about these strange bedfellows, so we caught up with Ne-Yo yesterday to find out more about the Island Def Jam labelmates' unusual tune, and his description did not disappoint.

"Imagine this," Ne-Yo told EW.com at the Def Jam office. "You live with your girlfriend. You wake up, she makes you breakfast in bed. Puts the tray down, gives you a kiss on the forehead, and she leaves for work. You eat, you eat, you eat. You notice that there’s a letter on the tray, and the letter says, 'I'm leaving you. Don't get up, I'm already gone. Finish your food.' You get up, you run downstairs, all your furniture's gone. In the kitchen there's more scrambled eggs. So you’re sitting on the floor in the kitchen, like, 'What the hell is going on?,' eating these scrambled eggs still. And then you start feeling funny. Did she poison the eggs? It leaves that question going on in your head at the end of the song."

Ne-Yo's hoping the sinister tale makes it onto his in-progress third CD, Year of the Gentleman, which he recently started recording. "I'd like the version with me and [Stump] to go on this album," he says. "But I'll be honest with you, it's been a little bit of a fight with the label. They’re like, ‘Is the world ready for Ne-Yo and Patrick Stump?’ His fanbase is this, and my fanbase is that. We're trying to figure out if the world is ready for those two [genres] to come together. I personally think that it's a great idea, but it's one of the few things that me and Def Jam tussle over."

A Def Jam rep did not reply to requests for comment. Look for Ne-Yo's record to drop some time this summer.

Na zdorov'ya!

let me begin by apologizing for my lack of research. apparently, the title of my last entry was the polish version of the word. this new entry title is the correct, ukrainian version of the word(albeit old ukrainian as the new ukrainian way to say this is: budmo!). whatever.

we started shooting this past wednesday evening, stealing shots on sunset boulevard during rush hour driving 5mph with our hazards on in the middle of the street. fittingly it was right in front of the cinematographers guild building. poor patrick had to ride around on a children's bicycle in a bathrobe while holding a rather impressively clumsy suitcase. funny thing was, nobody gave a fuck! we also rented a hotel room in burbank where we spent the entire thursday shooting patrick in a tub full of dirty water. he was way too willing to sit in that tub of muck all day. we also filmed a spaghetti fight on the bed between patrick and kristina while blasting tom waits' "big in japan" at maximum volume. again, nobody gave a fuck! the last day of the shoot was out at point dume in malibu. this time we had permits but we ended up chasing the sun all day. i was very stressed and unfortunately was curt with a lot of people but in the end we got everything we needed to finish the film. that's not to say we got exactly what we wanted, but we did find a way to pull it all together.

i would like to thank all the people who helped us on this project for payment way below their talents. it's great when people come together for the common good. also i have to thank patrick stump and kristina klebe for putting up with my ridiculous demands on this project. i've never seen two people eat that much spaghetti in one sitting. thanks for believing in me.

patrick and i are soon going to commence writing music for this piece. as we are both busy boys, there is no specific end date on the horizon. i will try and leak a few photos to the internet so you all can see what we're trying to do and perhaps even say, "what the fuck?"

As well as patrick stump(http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2079998/). notice how i am the only one not on imdb. sad face. without going into too much detail i will tell you this: the story involves a down on his luck businessman and a ukranian maid that is actually a doctor. yeah. that doesn't tell you much. but it will be fantastical when completed.
